Yes - companies are using blogs. Here is an example of a textbook company. I received an email from the sales rep this morning. The email included a video clip of the sales rep telling about her new website.

Well, I don't think that people will really get involved until one person decides to actually give some feedback. Maybe then more people will feel that they should comment as well.
